EGG HARBOR TWP.--A local healthcare organization is showing the importance of teaching babies and young children how to swim.

AtlantiCare held an in-water Infant Swimming Resource demonstration Friday afternoon for babies 6-months-old to children 6-years-old. Classes teach babies how to hold their breath under water, roll onto their backs and float unassisted. Children learn to breath underwater, swim with their head down and eyes open, roll onto their back and roll back over to resume swimming. AtlantiCare was the first in the nation to offer ISR's.
